Each client trade is matched at one of the firm’s institutional counterparties. All spot trades are over the counter (OTC) and matched within seconds. Existing institutional counterparty relationships are held with:

Safeguarded and segregated client funds

As an Investment Business with the permission to hold client money, any funds received in relation to Regulated Investment business by Argentex LLP prior to the value date, open in-the-money positions, or funds held by Argentex LLP post trade but not yet paid to the order of the client, are segregated in line with the CASS Rules (CASS 7).

As a UK Authorised Electronic Money Institution, any funds received in relation to e-money business by Argentex LLP prior to the value date of a foreign exchange trade or held by Argentex post trade but not yet paid to the order of the client, are redeemed for Electronic Money, which is issued to the client and safeguarded accordingly.

As an EU Authorised Electronic Money Institution, Argentex B.V. remits money under the Payment Services Directive encapsulated within its e-money permissions.  Argentex B.V. safeguards client money in a bank account in the name of Stichting Derdengelden Argentex (the “Foundation”). The Foundation has been incorporated under Dutch Law by Argentex Group PLC. The Foundation is affiliated with Argentex B.V. as a third-party fund’s entity and is supervised by the De Nederlandsche Bank.
